Official events of Blinken’s visit to Uzbekistan have begun

As we previously reported, yesterday, 28 February, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken came to Uzbekistan for the first time.
The main events of the visit will take place today, 1 March.
Talks between the head of the US State Department, Anthony Blinken, and the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, began early today in the capital, Tashkent.
Before the meeting, the heads of foreign affairs of the two countries took a photo in front of the country’s flags.
The first minutes of the meeting with the participation of the delegations were open to the media. Then the parties continued the dialogue behind closed doors.
As part of the visit, Blinken is expected to receive the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
