Russian coach praises Uzbek talent Khusanov: Future star

Zaur Tedeyev, head coach of Russian Premier League club Akron, has shared his thoughts on Uzbek defender Abdukadir Khusanov, recalling how he identified his talent early on and even considered bringing him to Alania.
“Anatoly Yuryevich developed a strong central defender at Energetik-BGU—Abdukadir Khusanov. Now, this guy is at Manchester City. By the way, I wanted to bring him to Alania. I first saw him a long time ago and immediately wanted him on my team. At that time, I said the future Van Dijk was growing up. I would like to see the level of players currently developing in Uzbekistan in Russia,” Tedeyev said.
It should be noted that Energetik-BGU coach Alexei Merkulov recently commented on Khusanov’s debut goal for Manchester City, praising his performance.
