In various regions, mothers attempting to sell their children were apprehended

Traffickers were detained in Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Namangan regions, and Tashkent city, as reported by the State Security Service.

A woman, born in the Bukhara region in 1991 and currently residing in Gulistan, was apprehended with physical evidence after selling her son, born on January 30 of this year, for $40,000 during an emergency event in Guliston, Syrdarya region.

In Surkhandarya region, a woman from the Termiz district, born in 1993, was arrested by the State Security Service and local law enforcement for conspiring with her accomplice to sell her daughter for 25 million soums in Termiz city.

Additionally, a woman from Chirchik, born in 1997, was apprehended with physical evidence after selling her son, born in 2018, for $3,000 in Tashkent.

In Namangan city, a woman born in 1995 agreed to sell her son, born in 2014, for $18,000 and had received $4,000 when apprehended by the State Security Service and local authorities.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals under Article 135, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and investigations are ongoing.
