Damas runs over pedestrian at crosswalk in Bekabad

Today, on May 10, in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region, a Damas vehicle first hit and then ran over a man crossing the pedestrian crosswalk. This was reported by the regional Road Safety Department.

According to the report, at approximately 11:00 AM on Turon Street in Bekabad, the driver N.Zh., born in 1999, was driving the vehicle when he struck A.A., born in 1992, who was crossing the road at the pedestrian crosswalk, leading to the traffic accident.

As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was injured and taken to the Bekabad city central hospital. The Bekabad city police department is currently investigating the incident.

It is also worth recalling that earlier, in the city of Samarkand, a man born in 1997 struck a group of people crossing a pedestrian crosswalk in his Lacetti. As a result, one woman died and four others were injured. Following the incident, the Investigation Department under the Federal Border Guard Service of the Samarkand city police department opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of road safety rules or improper use of vehicles) and applied a preventive measure in the form of arrest to the driver.
