An award named after Mahmudhoja Behbudi for playwrights and a prize named after Bahadir Yoldoshev for young directors will be introduced. These initiatives are outlined in the Presidential Decree titled "On measures to increase the importance of theaters in the cultural life of society and further support their activities."

The awards will be held every two years, and the winners will receive cash prizes equivalent to 50 times the minimum monthly wage (MHTEKM).

Additionally, the creative project Nigoh will be launched in August 2025, based on the principle of collaboration among directors, playwrights, composers, and artists. To develop and popularize national academic music, a competition for national composers will also be organized every two years.

Furthermore, the Academy of Theater Directors will be established at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater. A competition for "Best Translated Plays" will be introduced to recognize outstanding works translated from global dramaturgy.

Starting in 2025:

  • a biannual competition titled "The Best Plays" will focus on historical and contemporary themes;
  • a national theater group rating will be compiled to evaluate and promote theatrical performances in Uzbekistan.
