Officials apologize to worker following public backlash

Earlier, QALAMPIR.UZ received reports about an incident in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent, where a public landscaping worker was summoned for a Women’s Day event, humiliated, and had her gifted items taken back. The situation quickly spread on social media, sparking widespread discussion. In response, the Yashnabad district administration issued a statement.


The administration announced that an internal investigation has been launched, and appropriate action will be taken against the individual responsible for confiscating the gifts from the worker.
On March 8, in honor of International Women’s Day, Tashkent Deputy Mayor Shahnoza Sultonova, Yashnabad District Governor Bakhtiyor Rakhmankulov, and district officials visited the worker’s home. They congratulated her on the holiday and presented her with commemorative gifts.
