During the January 2024 meetings, the Central Bank's Bank Control Committee addressed 30 matters and made corresponding rulings, some resulting in penalties for certain entities. This information was disclosed by the Central Bank's information service.

It was revealed that due to failure to comply with the Central Bank's current legislation and regulatory directives, one bank and one payment organization were fined, while three banks and two pawnshops were cautioned.

Furthermore, in alignment with the objective of upholding system stability and safeguarding the interests of depositors and investors, the Committee issued directives to the leadership of commercial banks and microfinance institutions, instructing them to rectify identified deficiencies and address existing weaknesses in their banking operations.
