Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, conveyed his condolences regarding the plane crash at Muan International Airport in South Korea. Saidov shared his message of sympathy on his official Telegram page.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash that occurred at Muan International Airport in the Republic of Korea. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who died in this terrible incident,” the minister wrote.

Earlier today, a plane carrying 181 people crashed at Muan International Airport in southwest South Korea. The aircraft skidded off the runway, collided with a barrier, and caught fire.

The Jeju Air flight, returning from Bangkok, Thailand, had 175 passengers and six crew members on board. Among the passengers, 173 were South Koreans and two were Thai nationals. The Boeing aircraft had previously reported an emergency during the flight but continued its journey after an emergency landing.

According to the latest reports, 179 people have been confirmed dead, while two survivors – a passenger and a crew member – are being treated for their injuries.
