Bakhtiyor Saidov meets with ICESCO Director General

On May 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Salim bin Muhammad al-Malik. The meeting was announced by the minister on his official Telegram channel.

“We had a comprehensive exchange of views on our expanding cooperation. We welcome the promising initiatives of ICESCO, including the celebration of the city of Samarkand as the cultural capital of the Islamic world in 2025,” Saidov noted.

During the meeting, an action plan was signed between the government of Uzbekistan and ICESCO. The plan outlines priority areas for strengthening cooperation and implementing joint projects in the near future.

It is worth recalling that earlier, on May 21, Bakhtiyor Saidov also participated in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers in Budapest, held within the framework of the informal summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States.
