UAE President awards an order to Uzbekistan’s Ambassador

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has awarded the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UAE, Abdulaziz Oqqulov, with the First Class Order of Independence in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country. Gulf Today reported this.
The award was presented by Minister of State Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri during a meeting held at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the talks, the minister reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening relations with Uzbekistan across all areas.
Al Hajeri also wished the ambassador success in his future endeavors and highly praised his role in advancing bilateral relations within the scope of his diplomatic mandate.
In response, Oqqulov expressed deep gratitude to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and noted the UAE leadership’s achievements and development efforts, which reflect the country’s strong aspiration to further enhance its standing on the global stage. At the conclusion of the meeting, the diplomat thanked all government institutions for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the successful fulfillment of his mission to strengthen bilateral ties.
For reference, under a presidential decree dated December 24, 2025, Abdulaziz O‘rolboyevich Oqqulov was appointed Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
