A good message from former Turkmen leader: Serdar Berdimukhamedov will pay a visit to Uzbekistan

Today 29 June, president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Public Discussion under the National Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the state sincerely congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his 65th anniversary and wished him good health, happiness, and success, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly people of Turkmenistan.

They noted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s great contribution to the development of modern Turkmenistan and the strengthening of the country’s authority in the international arena, the strengthening of ties of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of the preparation for the forthcoming visit of President Serdar Berdimukhamedov to Uzbekistan, the sides discussed issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Special attention was paid to the promotion of joint projects of cooperation in trade and industry, transport and logistics, energy and agriculture, as well as to the activation of interregional ties and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

In addition, they exchanged views on topical issues of regional cooperation, including the promotion of lasting peace in Afghanistan and the socio-economic reconstruction of this country.

The leader of Uzbekistan wished success to the upcoming sixth Caspian summit which is being held in the Turkmen capital.
