The national movement "Yuksalish" has proposed that all employers should allow their employees to work remotely due to the anomalously cold weather expected in Uzbekistan.  The "Yuksalish" movement reported about this on its official page.

The "Yuksalish" movement noted that in connection with the expected anomalous cold weather between 9-15 January this year, all employers - both in public and private sectors, should take a deeper look at the organization of work processes.

The movement that put forward this proposal noted that its team is moving to remote work during these days.  The movement made this decision due to problems with the heating system of the building where the central office is located.  Also, the regional divisions of the movement will go online.

"It is necessary to familiarize yourself with the working conditions and provide employees with a comfortable temperature regime.  Employees should be allowed to work online if they do not need to be onsite. The pandemic has shown that it is possible to perform tasks effectively even in this format.

In addition, it creates conditions for clearing the roads of snow and ice without disrupting traffic.  At the same time, it is advisable to reduce working hours, especially for those who work outdoors. "It will also be useful to organize hot drinks for employees as much as possible, to give them a break or to change seats to prevent colds," the report says.

In addition, the nationwide movement called on all Uzbeks to take precautions in the expected cold weather.

Earlier, it was reported that preschool educational institutions in Uzbekistan were closed, and the winter vacation in all general secondary education and specialized schools, as well as higher and professional educational institutions, and academic lyceums was extended until 17 January.
