Due to the abnormally hot weather currently observed in Uzbekistan, the speed of passenger trains will be limited. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Railways.
According to the announcement, the rise in air temperature causes the surface rails and steel components of the railway to heat up significantly. In order to ensure the safety of both passengers and trains, speed restrictions will be introduced.
As a result of these restrictions, the cooling system on the affected trains may become less effective. Additionally, trains operating under speed limits may arrive later than scheduled.
"Uztemiryo‘lyo‘lovchi" JSC apologized to passengers for any inconvenience caused by the extreme weather conditions.
It should be recalled that earlier reports indicated that from June 16 to 19, very hot air masses would enter Uzbekistan from the south, with temperatures in some areas expected to reach 43–44 degrees Celsius.
