Due to extreme heat in Uzbekistan, train speeds have been restricted. This announcement was made by JSC "Uztemiryolyolovchi."
"Abnormally high temperatures are being recorded across the republic. Consequently, the temperature of railway tracks and their steel components has risen significantly. To ensure passenger and train safety, speed restrictions have been imposed. As a result, trains may experience delays, and the cooling systems on trains with speed restrictions might be less effective," the report stated.
The company apologized for any inconvenience caused by the weather conditions.
It is worth noting that earlier forecasts had predicted this period of abnormal heat in Uzbekistan.
