A pipe burst at the Angren oil depot and 11,500 liters of gasoline leaked

Yesterday, on the evening of 11 December, news spread on social networks that an accident occurred at the Angren oil station, a pipe burst and a large amount of Ai-95 gasoline was leaking, which residents were carrying in buckets.  This situation is confirmed to be true.  This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent regional government.

D. Azimov, head of the enterprise, reacted to the news about the accident at the Angren oil base:

“On 10 December of this year at approximately 8:10 p.m., a pipe of 5000 m (cubic) capacity (reservoir) siphon No. 20 in the Angrenneftebaza area froze and cracked due to the drop in air temperature.  As a result, Ai-80 gasoline fuel (11,500 liters) was spilled.  The accident was resolved by the workers of the plant at 8:45 p.m. on the same day.   No one was seriously harmed.”

As a result of the spillage of fuel products, rainwater leaked out of the factory area at 2:00 p.m. on 11 December.

According to another video circulating on social networks, one of the representatives of the population who gathered to collect the leaked gasoline caught fire when he tried to smoke a cigarette.  The videos provoked a lot of discussion on the network.
