A fire broke out in one of the multi-storey buildings in the city of Andijan. This was reported by the press service of Andijan regional government.

It is noted that yesterday, on 5 March, a fire broke out on the roof of an apartment building located in the first small district of Andijan city. No one was injured or died as a result of the incident.

12 fire-rescue crews were called to the scene, and the fire was extinguished in 50 minutes.

As a result of the fire, the roof of the house on an area of about 250 square meters was damaged by fire. An area of 300 square meters of the roof was saved from the fire.

“The cause of material damage and fire is being investigated. At the moment, the governor of the region Shuhratbek Abdurahmanov is in the area and took control of the situation,” the report said.
