Man arrested for organizing risk-based gambling in his flat (video)

A resident of the Andijan district in the Andijan region was caught organizing an illegal gambling game based on risk in his apartment. The incident was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the report, during operational activities conducted by officers from the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Andijan regional Department of Internal Affairs, as part of the “Safe and Healthy Homeland” preventive campaign, it was discovered that the individual had been hosting unlawful gambling games at his residence.

During the raid, authorities seized 4,535,000 soums in cash and 300 US dollars, along with four spoons made from animal bones. An additional 550,000 soums, belonging to the homeowner who organized the game, were also confiscated as evidence.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (organization and holding of gambling and other games based on risk). Investigative actions are currently underway.

As a reminder, a similar case was previously reported in the Altynkul district of Andijan region, where another individual had also organized an illegal gambling game at home.
