The assistant prosecutor is caught while taking a bribe in Andijan

An assistant prosecutor of the Kurgantepa district of the Andijan region was detained for taking a bribe of 1,500 US dollars. This information was confirmed to QALAMPIR.UZ by the press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office Khayot Shamsutdinov.
It is noted that the assistant prosecutor of Kurgantepa district promised to facilitate the criminal case against the woman, initiated on the grounds of fraud and attempted bribery, and in return demanded 3,000 US dollars.
He took half of the requested money and was caught with physical evidence while receiving the remaining $1500.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted under article 210 of the Criminal Code and investigations are underway.
