Former head of Cadastre Agency in Andijan caught accepting bribe

4144The former head of the district department of the Cadastre Agency in the Andijan district of the Andijan region was caught receiving a $10,000 bribe during illegal activities. This was reported by the Andijan regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the report, law enforcement officers carried out a swift operation in the city of Andijan. During the operation, M.A., the former head of the Andijan district Cadastre Agency, and S.O., a former employee, promised citizen N.A. to reclassify a 1-hectare plot of land allocated for gardening into residential land. They claimed they could arrange this through their contacts at the Republican Cadastre Chamber and formalize the necessary documents.
They were caught with material evidence while accepting a total of $10,000 in bribe money.
A criminal case has been initiated against M.A. and others under Article 168 (fraud), Part 3, clauses "a" and "b", and Article 28,211 (bribery), Part 2, clauses "a" and "b" of the Criminal Code. The suspects have been detained in accordance with legal procedures.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
It should be recalled that earlier, authorities also stopped illegal actions by a tax official and the head of an LLC in the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region.
