Man arrested in Andijan for promising driver’s license without exam

A man who met a woman from the Andijan region through a social network and promised to obtain a driver’s license for her without attending training sessions or taking exams in exchange for money has been arrested. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, the man, born in 1995 in Tashkent and previously held criminally liable, met a woman born in 1994 and residing in Andijan district through a social network. He claimed to work at a center in Tashkent where driving tests are conducted and, through alleged high-ranking acquaintances, promised to secure a certificate and driver’s license for her without the need to attend exams.
In return, the man demanded $300 from the woman and $600 from three other citizens, collecting a total of $2,100. He was detained with physical evidence while receiving the money.
A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
It is worth noting that earlier, an employee of a driving school in the city of Kuvasoy, Fergana region, was also detained for promising to issue a driver’s license without the need to attend training sessions.
