In the Andijan region, a citizen used an amount of 1.4 billion soms, taken from people who wanted to go on an Umrah trip, for his own needs. This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.
It is noted that the citizen F.A received a total of 1.4 billion soms in cash from 74 citizens of the Khojaabad district who expressed their desire to go on pilgrimage in the "Umra-2022" season. He used the money for his personal needs.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated against F.A. under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code and other articles, and a preventive measure in the form of imprisonment was applied.
Currently, the investigation is being carried out by the investigation department of the Khojaabad District Internal Affairs Department.
