Four family members die from carbon monoxide poisoning in Andijan

2841In the Andijan region, four members of a single family lost their lives due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, shared this information with QALAMPIR.UZ.
According to Shamsutdinov, the incident occurred on October 22 around 09:30 a.m. at a home on Ne'mat Street in the "Navoiy" neighborhood of Jalakuduq District.
A malfunctioning heating device, known locally as a kotyol, leaked gas while the family was asleep, resulting in carbon monoxide poisoning.
Four family members died in the living room, while other family members received medical assistance at the district emergency medical department. Authorities inspected the scene, and forensic and other relevant examinations have been arranged to determine the exact cause of death.
The district prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident.
Earlier, similar cases of carbon monoxide poisoning claimed the lives of a father and his son in the Bekobad district of the Tashkent region.
