Social networks reported that by order of the Minister of Health the laboratories of 178 state hospitals in the city of Tashkent and the region of Tashkent were affiliated to the joint venture “Intermed Innovation”, opened abroad.

On 16 May, deputy chairman of the Anti-monopoly committee Farrukh Karabayev said at a press conference at the Information and Mass Communications Agency that an administrative case was initiated against the Ministry of Health.

According to Farrukh Karabayev, a number of local entrepreneurs complained about the contract reached.  The committee requested information from the Ministry of Health on the affiliation of laboratories, but the Ministry did not provide the information on time.

“The Ministry of Health has been prosecuted under Article 23 of the law “On competition”. Action will be taken this week on the case.  If the information requested is not supported, serious measures will be taken on administrative liability according to the relevant regulations.  We need documents to investigate the breach of the legislation, but the documents haven’t been provided yet.  If violations are detected, we will take measures in accordance with the law on competition,” – Karabayev said.
