The United States donated $2.8 million worth of military equipment to Uzbekistan



Deputy Commander of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces, Major General Vendul Hagler presented 50 units of Polaris MRZR light tactical combat vehicles to the Special Operations Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.  This is reported by the US Embassy in Uzbekistan.

It is noted that the head of the Special Operations Forces Department of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan received the equipment on behalf of the Special Operations Forces.

"The equipment was presented as part of the program "Increasing the capacity of partners" of the US Ministry of Defense. The vehicles are valued at 2.8 million dollars and are part of the defense products donated by America to Uzbekistan," the report said.

Representatives of the Central Military District Command of the Ministry of Defense, Ground Forces of Uzbekistan, the US Central Command, and the US Embassy in Tashkent took part in the ceremony of handing over military equipment.
