US hopes to strengthen ties with Uzbekistan – Trump

The United States is committed to strengthening its partnership with Uzbekistan and exploring new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. This was stated in a congratulatory message from US President Donald Trump to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

“On behalf of the people of the United States of America, I extend our warmest wishes to you and the people of Uzbekistan on the 34th anniversary of your country’s independence. This is a joyful occasion to celebrate its history and rich culture,” the message reads.

Trump emphasized that since gaining independence, Uzbekistan has continued to implement significant reforms that have contributed to the development of a dynamic strategic partnership between the two nations. He noted that both sides have worked together to advance shared interests, including strengthening border security, boosting bilateral trade and investment, ensuring religious freedom, and promoting regional stability.

“The United States looks forward to strengthening existing ties and opening new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation. I extend my best wishes and congratulations to you and your citizens on the occasion of Independence Day,” Trump stated.
