The USA  is considering the possibility of providing 50 military aircraft and helicopters to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in exchange for assistance in the fight against terrorists in Afghanistan.  This is reported by "Politico" publication.

We are talking about American-made equipment that Afghan pilots took to neighboring countries last year when they fled from the Taliban.

"According to the plan, it is envisaged to hand over a number of aircraft to the governments of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in exchange for an informal agreement to deepen our security relations in the fight against terrorism and border protection," The publication said, citing an unnamed official.

According to "Politico" publication, "Taliban" is demanding from its neighbors, the return of light attack aircrafts and helicopters that the US supplied to the overthrown Afghan government.

For reference, the Taliban has launched a large-scale operation to take control of Afghanistan after the US announced that it would withdraw its armed forces from the country in the spring of 2021. On 15 August, the Taliban entered Kabul without a fight, and President Ashraf Ghani left the Republic.  On 6 September, the Taliban announced that they had taken control of the entire territory of Afghanistan, and on 7 September, they announced the formation of an interim government, the legitimacy of which has not yet been recognized by any country.

When the government was overthrown in Afghanistan, Afghan pilots fled, not only to Tajikistan, but also to Uzbekistan with military equipment.  According to Ismatilla Irgashev, the special representative of the president of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan, as of 21 August 2021, Uzbekistan had 46 aircraft, and Tajikistan had 18, including Mi-17, UH-60 helicopters, as well as PC-12, C-208  , there are AC-208 and A-29 aircraft.

The "Taliban" movement has sent requests to the authorities of Tashkent and Dushanbe several times to return the planes.  However, the Uzbek side does not intend to return the planes to Afghanistan, despite the demands of the Taliban.  Official Tashkent decided to hand over the equipment to the USA.  After all, the equipment was given to the Afghan government by Washington.
