Abdusattarov defeated the American grandmaster in the international tournament

The 4th round of the international online chess tournament “Aimchess Rapid” is being held these days.  Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattarov, who is participating in the competition, won a ticket to the semi-finals.

In the 1st round of the 4th stage, Abdusattarov was challenged by the American grandmaster Wesley So.  The parties tried their best to qualify for the semi-finals in a total of 5 matches.  The first two games were tied.  In the 3rd game, So was victorious, and in the 4th game, Abdusattarov won.  The Uzbek chess master won the decisive 5th game.

Thus, Abdusattorov, who won with a total score of 3:2, went to the semi-finals of the tournament.  Levon Aronian from Armenia will compete against Nodirbek in the semi-finals.

It should be noted that, in addition to Wesley So and Levon Aronian, Grandmasters such as Vladimir Fedoseyev, Fabiano Caruana, Eduardo Bonelli, Jorden van Forest and Magnus Carlsen are fighting for the victory in the division in which Abdusattorov is participating.
