Abdumalik Khalokov becomes Olympic champion

Abdumalik Khalokov, the flag bearer of the Uzbekistan delegation, faced Kyrgyz athlete Munarbek Seyitbek Uulu in the boxing events at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, hosted by France. Khalokov triumphed over his opponent, securing the title of Olympic champion and earning another gold medal for the Uzbekistan delegation.

In the semifinal bout, Khalokov dominated Australian boxer Charlie Senor, securing his place in the final with a chance to compete for the gold medal.

Subsequently, the final boxing match featuring Bahodir Jalolov is set to take place. Jalolov, the reigning champion from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, will compete for the gold medal against Ayub Gadfa, representing Spain.

Following Khalokov's victory, the total medal count for the Uzbekistan delegation at the tournament reached 11, comprising 7 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
