An Uzbek national wanted for 7 years is caught in Turkey

An Uzbekistan citizen who has been wanted since 2015 has been detained in Turkey.  This is reported by the press service under the Internal Affairs Department of the Bukhara region.

It is noted that the man was found guilty of committing criminal cases according to article 155, part 1, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (not reporting about information and facts on terrorist acts being prepared or committed), article 156, part 3 (provoking national, racial, ethnic or religious hatred), art. 3. 159 (attacks on the constitutional regime of the Republic of Uzbekistan), part 3 of the article 244/1 (manufacture, storage, distribution, or demonstration of materials threatening public security and public order), part 1 of Article 244/2 (Creation, leadership, participation in religious extremist, separatist, fundamentalist or other banned organizations) and from 2015, he has been declared wanted by the Internal Affairs Department of Romitan District.

During the special joint action “Search” of law enforcement agencies of the Bukhara region the current residential address of E.H., born in 1977 in the “Xosa” district of Romitan district, was found.

Following this, he was caught in a special operation carried out by Turkish law enforcement agencies, extradited to Uzbekistan, and placed in a remand center.
