Flooding possible in six regions due to heavy rains

14357From July 13 to 16, heavy rains are expected, which may cause flood events in the foothill and mountainous areas of Uzbekistan. Sherzod Habibullayev, Director of the Uzhydromet Agency, has issued this warning.
It has been reported that the following regions could experience flood events:
- Kashkadarya Region: Yakkabog, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, Guzar districts;
- Surkhandarya Region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Sho'rchi, Qumqo'rg'on, Muzrabot districts;
- Tashkent Region: Ohangaron, Bo'stonliq, Parkent, Piskent, O'rta Chirchiq, Yuqori Chirchiq districts, and the cities of Angren and Olmaliq;
- Namangan Region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqo'rg'on districts;
- Fergana Region: So'x, Fergana, Beshariq districts and the Shohimardon area;
- Andijan Region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qo'rg'ontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xo'jaobod, Marhamat districts and the city of Xonobod.
There is a possibility of rainwater accumulation, which could lead to flooding in these areas.
Residents, vacationers, and drivers in the foothill and mountainous regions are advised to take precautionary measures.
