Women with 5 years of work experience are expected to be admitted to university without exams

Women who have at least five years of work experience can now enter higher education institutions on a payment-contractual basis without an examination in Uzbekistan. This is stated in the draft decision of the Cabinet of Ministers «On approval of the order of admission of women to higher educational institutions on a contractual basis with at least five years work experience in the specialty. » The draft decision is available on the portal for discussion of draft normative legal acts.

According to the order, enrollment will be made on the recommendation of the State Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs at the expense of women who have at least five years work experience in the specialty, but have no higher education, on the condition of working in this system for five years, based on the results of tests for undergraduate majors relevant to the business.

This procedure does not apply to military and paramilitary higher educational establishments operating in Uzbekistan, and to foreign and non-State higher educational institutions and their branches.

It is noted that the recommendation is given to women who have at least five years of professional experience, but no higher education. Women apply electronically to the district (City) Family and Women’s Affairs Department in their place of permanent or temporary residence from 1 May to 1 June each year. The application form for obtaining the recommendation will be developed by the committee.

The recommendation is issued to women only once by the committee and is valid for 3 years from the date of the issue of the recommendation.
The district (urban) Family and Women’s Affairs Offices together with the working groups submit the documents of women with at least five years of work experience, but without higher education who have applied for a recommendation from 1 to 10 June every year.

Entrance tests (tests, professional (creative) exam, written exam) for women with a recommendation are carried out in accordance with the established procedure for admission to the bachelor’s program of higher education.

Women with a recommendation of 30 percent or less of the maximum possible score in the entrance exams will be recommended to be admitted on a payment-contractual basis excluding the general admission parameters for undergraduate programs of state higher education institutions for women with at least five years of work experience strictly adhering to the sequence of points.
