Women with at least 5 years of work experience in their specialty, but without higher education, are admitted to state higher education universities on a fee-for-service basis within the parameters of special admission (a total of 500 quotas).  This is stated in the charter approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on 9 June.

Admission to higher education is based on the recommendation of the State Committee on Family and Women.

To receive a recommendation, the applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

• having specialization in secondary special or vocational education;

• being not enrolled in higher education or not studying in a real-time before receiving the recommendation;

• 5 years of work experience in secondary special or vocational education.

The recommendation is valid for admission to the higher education university only once in 3 years from the date of issue.

In order to obtain a recommendation, the applicant must apply to the district (city) department of the family and women in the place of permanent residence or temporary registration from May 1 to June 1 each year.

Applications and documents will be considered until 7 June.

In turn, the report of the working group will be submitted to the committee by 10 June.

The documents will be reviewed by the committee before 14 June and an order for the issuance or rejection of the recommendation will be issued.

The working group will ensure that the recommendation is communicated to the applicants by 15 June of each year.

Examinations for women with recommendations are usually held as part of the entrance exams (tests, professional (creative) exams) for admission to the bachelor’s program of the state university.

Women who are not recommended for admission at the end of the entrance examination, but have a recommendation and gained at least 30 percent of the maximum possible score, will be recommended to study on a fee-for-service basis, strictly adhering to the sequence of points.
