109109At the moment, 5 ministers have written applications that they will resign from their positions if they are elected to the parliament.
These are:
Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov;
Aziz Abduhakimov, Minister of Ecology and Environmental Protection and Climate Change;
Hilola Umarova, Minister of Preschool and School Education;
Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov;
Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov.
According to Article 72 of the Election Code, a person nominated for the post of deputy shall submit a resignation letter if he agrees that his candidate will be voted from the relevant single-mandate electoral district or included in the party list, provided that he is elected as a deputy of the Legislative Chamber.
Among the candidates of the political parties for parliament and local councils are the chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Norbaeva, the director of the Youth Affairs Agency Alisher Sadullaev, the chairman of the Family and Women's Committee Ozoda Parpibaeva, the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Akmal Burkhanov.
Among the representatives of culture and art, Yodgor Sa'diev, Rano Shodieva, Gavkhar Zokirova, Rano Zokirova and Dilnoza Kubaeva have also submitted their candidacies to the deputy.
For information, deputies of the legislative chamber may not engage in other types of paid activities, except scientific and pedagogical activities, during their term of office. Deputies of the Legislative Chamber are reimbursed for expenses related to their parliamentary activities in accordance with the established procedure.
