4712In 2025, measures will be implemented to ensure that 309 trillion sums of revenue are secured for Uzbekistan's state budget. This announcement was made by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 20 during a presentation by the Chamber of Accounts on the achievements of 2024 and the main objectives for 2025.
The presentation analyzed the accomplishments of the Accounts Chamber over the past year and outlined future plans. Notably, in 2024, the Chamber facilitated an additional 3.7 trillion sums in budget revenues from new sources. Moreover, 9.2 trillion sums in inefficient expenditures by ministries and agencies were optimized, while 2.3 trillion sums in financial shortfalls were prevented. The elimination of procurement deficiencies saved an additional 4.5 trillion sums.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of continuing systematic efforts to enhance fiscal management in 2025. He highlighted the integration of 110 ministries and agencies into the "Remote Audit" automated information system, which will oversee the monitoring of 480 trillion sums in budget expenditures this year. Identifying new revenue streams and mitigating financial risks remain key priorities, alongside the ongoing evaluation of state-owned enterprises’ financial activities.
The President also announced plans to implement international auditing standards for projects funded by international financial institutions. These efforts aim to improve transparency and ensure effective use of resources.
Earlier, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis approved the Law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025," reinforcing the government's commitment to fiscal discipline and sustainable development.
