From the 2023/2024 academic year, only budget quotas of higher educational institutions will be announced

From the academic year 2023/2024, the parameters of the state order for all state higher education institutions will be approved only based on state grants.  This is stated in the draft decision “On parameters of the state order of admission to higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022/2023 academic year.”

Admission quotas based on payment-contract will be approved independently agreed with the supervisory boards of higher education institutions, higher education establishments with financial and academic independence, the relevant ministries and departments, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.

The project will be discussed until 1 June.

Earlier, we reported that quotas for admission to higher education were announced.  For the academic year 2022/2023, 76,728 students for full-time form of bachelor’s degree and 27,365 students for distance learning may be enrolled.
