9819It became known that in 2022, the cases of 32 people who work in the education field were evaluated by the courts in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by the Tashkent city court.
It is noted that last year, 16 individuals in the healthcare sector, 32 individuals in the education sector, and 7 individuals in the banking sector were brought to criminal responsibility in connection with the completed corruption cases.
It was discovered that during the year the courts issued acquittals against a total of 161 persons, and in 2321 cases, the articles that were unjustified by the investigative body were dismissed.
In particular, 1,109 people were sentenced to non-custodial sentences, and more than 293.4 billion soms of material damage caused by the crime were compensated. 1759 people were released from prison in the courtroom.
A total of 114 persons were given non-custodial sentences or lighter punishments than provided for by the law on the basis of the guarantee of the public in the implementation of justice. The punishments imposed on 206 persons were replaced by lighter ones. 2403 persons were released from punishment (prison) before their term ended.
4,851 of the criminal cases were of low social risk, 2,405 were not serious, 4,337 were serious, and 548 were extremely serious.
Of the convicts, 1016 (10.8%) were women, 246 (2.6%) were minors, 381 (46.9%) were young people, 238 (2.5%) were men over 60, 106 (1.1%) were foreign citizens, and 8 (00.8%) were entrepreneurs.
