Leaders of over 20 countries to meet in China in late August

At this year’s Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, to be held in Tianjin, China, more than 20 heads of state and leaders of over 10 international organizations are expected to participate. This was announced at a press briefing by Liu Bin, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (at the level of deputy minister).
"The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will meet with the leaders of more than 20 foreign states and 10 international organizations on the banks of the Haihe River. He will review the successful experience of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), promote its development and structural renewal, and unite its members for cooperation and joint action", the diplomat said.
He emphasized that the following participants will attend the summit:
