Abdukodir Khusanov meets with Uzbekistan’s ambassador in the UK

13380On February 3, Uzbek footballer Abdukodir Khusanov, who recently joined "Manchester City", met with Uzbekistan's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ravshan Usmanov. The ambassador shared the news on his social media, expressing support for the young defender.
"We wish our compatriot Abdukodir Khusanov, the defender of Manchester City football club, success!" Usmanov wrote.
Khusanov officially signed with "Manchester City" on January 20, securing a contract until 2029. In a short time, the 20-year-old made his debut for the club, appearing in the English Premier League match against "Chelsea" in the 23rd round. He started the game but was substituted in the 52nd minute.
Before joining the Premier League champions, Khusanov played for Belarusian club "Energetik-BGU" and later moved to French side Lens. His development has been closely followed by Uzbek football fans, who hope he will make a strong impact in England.
Khusanov’s transfer marks a significant milestone for Uzbek football, as he becomes one of the few players from the country to join a top European club.
