The “Tomyris” badge was established for military women

To support military women in Uzbekistan, the badge "Tomaris" was established.  The decision of the President was adopted.

It is noted that the "Tomaris" badge was established to increase the defense power of Uzbekistan, to preserve the inter-ethnic harmony, peace, and stability prevailing in the society, and to support the female military servicemen who make a worthy contribution.

According to the document, the state unitary enterprise "State Sign" of the Central Bank prepares the badge "Tomaris" and its certificate in the prescribed manner based on the orders of relevant ministries and agencies.

In addition, expenses related to the preparation of the "Tomaris" badge and certificate and the awarding of the awardees are made from budget funds, extra-budgetary funds, and other sources not prohibited by law.

This badge is presented by the heads of ministries and agencies (or other responsible persons according to their assignment) on the eve of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland, 14 January.
