25163The cold and humid air masses that entered Uzbekistan from the Caucasus on March 2 will persist today, March 3, according to Uzhydromet.
Snowfall will continue in most regions, with temperatures ranging from 0 to -5°C. However, in the second half of the day, snowfall is expected to stop in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region.
On March 4, weather conditions will stabilize, with dry conditions across all regions of Uzbekistan, except for light snowfall in some mountainous areas. The influence of the cold anticyclone will still be felt at night and in the morning, with temperatures dropping to -2 to -7°C. During the day, as the anticyclone weakens, temperatures will rise to 4-7°C, which remains below the seasonal norm for early March.
Fog may develop in some areas. From March 5-6, dry weather will prevail nationwide. However, on March 7, rain is expected in some regions, excluding the Fergana Valley. In northern Uzbekistan, including Ustyurt and the Aral Sea region, rain may transition into snow.
A significant warming trend will begin midweek, with temperatures reaching 5-8°C at night and 14-17°C during the day by March 6-7. In the south, daytime temperatures may rise to 20-22°C.
Wind speeds will increase in some areas, reaching 17-22 m/s on March 3 and 7, with possible gusts of up to 23-25 m/s.
