Weather forecast for early this week: Hot and dusty conditions expected across Uzbekistan

Uzhydromet has released the weather forecast for June 22 to 24.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, the weather will be partly cloudy and variable in places, with no precipitation expected. Easterly winds will blow at speeds of 7–12 m/s. On June 22 and 24, wind speeds may increase to 13–18 m/s in some areas, and on June 22, gusts could reach 20–22 m/s, accompanied by blowing dust. Temperatures will range from 20–25°C at night on June 22–23 and 18–23°C on June 24. Daytime temperatures will reach 35–40°C on June 22, and 32–37°C on June 23–24.

In the Bukhara and Navoi regions, the weather will also be partly cloudy and variable in places, with no precipitation expected. Easterly winds will blow at 7–12 m/s, occasionally increasing to 13–18 m/s, with dusty conditions in some areas. Nighttime temperatures on June 22 will be 20–25°C, with daytime temperatures reaching 35–40°C. On June 23–24, temperatures will rise to 23–28°C at night and 37–42°C during the day.

In the Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh, and Samarkand regions, partly cloudy skies and variable conditions are forecast, with no expected precipitation. Easterly winds will blow at 7–12 m/s, increasing to 13–18 m/s in some areas, accompanied by dust. Night temperatures will range from 20–25°C, while daytime highs are expected to reach 35–40°C.

Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions will also experience partly cloudy skies and variable conditions, with no precipitation expected. Easterly winds will blow at 7–12 m/s, occasionally increasing to 13–18 m/s, with dust in some areas. On June 22, nighttime temperatures will range from 22–27°C, with daytime highs of 37–42°C. On June 23–24, temperatures will rise to 23–28°C at night and 39–44°C during the day.

In the Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions, the weather will be partly cloudy and changeable, with no precipitation expected. Easterly winds will blow at 5–10 m/s. Night temperatures will be 20–25°C, with daytime temperatures reaching 33–38°C on June 22 and 35–40°C on June 23–24.

In the mountainous regions of the republic, the weather will be slightly cloudy and variable in places. On June 22, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. No precipitation is forecast for June 23–24. Easterly winds will blow at 7–12 m/s, occasionally increasing to 13–18 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be 13–18°C, with daytime highs of 25–30°C on June 22 and 28–30°C on June 23–24.
