“Supreme Commander-in-Chief” state scholarship to be introduced for military university students

4088The “Supreme Commander-in-Chief” State Scholarship will be introduced to reward exemplary students at military universities. This announcement was made on February 14 during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's dialogue with the youth of Uzbekistan at the "Kuksaroy" residence.
Additionally, the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation quotas will be expanded in energy, transport, urbanization, modern architecture, and medicine. Young scientists under 35 who obtain scientific degrees from top-100 universities will be eligible for interest-free housing loans of up to 800 million sums, payable over 10 years.
The President also announced a fivefold increase in one-time cash prizes for winners of prestigious international science Olympiads.
Moreover, the Youth Agency will provide grants of up to 100 million sums for creating engaging media content and intellectual shows to spark young people's interest in science. A “Green Initiatives Support Fund” will also be established to promote environmental protection projects among youth.
