The draw for the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place on December 5 in Las Vegas, United States, according to ESPN.
The ceremony will be held in the “Sphere,” the world’s largest spherical building. The venue, designed to accommodate 17,500 spectators, features a massive screen spanning more than 50,000 square meters. Notably, Las Vegas will not host any of the tournament's matches.
For the first time in World Cup history, the tournament will feature 48 national teams. The event will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Uzbekistan will participate in the World Cup for the first time. The current titleholder is Argentina, who defeated France on penalties in the 2022 final.
