The activities of a fake cosmetologist couple have been halted in Tashkent’s Chilanzar District, Hudud reported.
According to the report, the husband and wife had been performing facial surgical procedures in the basement of a multi-storey residential building on Archa Street in Chilanzar District.
Several women who suffered harm as a result of these procedures filed complaints with the relevant authorities. A criminal case was opened over the incident, and the case against the couple was heard at the Chilanzar District Court.
One of the victims testified in court that the male cosmetologist cut her face while under the influence of alcohol. Due to the depth of the wound, she suffered severe bleeding. He then left the procedure unfinished and handed it over to his wife. His wife reportedly attempted to cauterize the wound using a laser. The operation, which began in the evening, lasted until 6 a.m. As a result, the woman fell into a coma for five days.
In connection with the incident, the male cosmetologist was found guilty under Article 186, Part 2, Clauses “b,” “v,” and “g” of the Criminal Code (production, storage, transportation, or sale of goods that do not meet safety requirements, as well as the provision of services or performance of work with the intent to sell). He was sentenced to three years in prison and taken into custody in the courtroom.
His wife was charged under the same articles and sentenced to three years of restricted liberty.
It is worth noting that earlier, in Chilanzar District of Tashkent, a woman working as a cosmetologist was held criminally liable after causing bodily harm to a client’s face due to negligence.
