Uzhydromet warns residents of nine regions

Due to expected rainfall from June 28 to July 3 this year, mudflows and floods may occur in the foothill and mountainous areas of the country. Uzhydromet issued an urgent warning.
According to the warning, mudflows and floods may occur in the following areas:
- Kashkadarya region: Yakkabog, Dekhkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shahrisabz, Kamashi and Guzar districts;
- Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherabad, Shurchi, Kumkurgan and Muzrabot districts;
- Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurobod, Koshrabot, Kattakurgan, Payariq, Jomboy and Ishtikhan districts;
- Navoi region: Khatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex and Karmana districts;
- Jizzakh region: Zomin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish and Yangiabad districts;
- Tashkent region: Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Urtachirchik and Yukorichirchik districts, as well as the cities of Angren and Almalyk;
- Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chartak, Chust, Namangan and Yangikurgan districts;
- Fergana region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana and Beshariq districts;
- Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalalkuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad and Markhamat districts, as well as the city of Khanabad.
Residents of foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers and drivers traveling through mountainous areas have been urged to take precautions.
Rainwater may accumulate in some parts of the country, which could lead to flooding.
