Most popular study destinations for Uzbek students revealed

Between January and November 2025, a total of 27,800 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for educational purposes, according to the National Statistics Committee.
This figure represents a decrease of nearly 6,700 people, or 19.3 percent, compared with the same period last year.
The top 10 countries most frequently chosen by Uzbek citizens for study purposes were as follows:
Russia – 6,235 people;
Tajikistan – 5,943 people;
Kyrgyzstan – 4,219 people;
South Korea – 3,410 people;
Turkey – 2,381 people;
China – 1,231 people;
Kazakhstan – 1,074 people;
The United Kingdom – 870 people;
Germany – 384 people;
The United States – 333 people.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that between January and November, Kyrgyzstan was the most visited country by Uzbek citizens for travel purposes.
