Uzbekistan hit by earthquake

An earthquake was recorded in Uzbekistan yesterday, September 19, the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to the institute, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 40 km west of Namangan city at a depth of 20 km. The tremor occurred at 19:57 local time.

The institute confirmed that the earthquake’s intensity in Uzbekistan was 3 on the local scale.

It is worth noting that earlier, a 4-magnitude earthquake struck Navoi region.
