As of October 1, 2025, Uzbekistan’s permanent population reached 38,069,116, the State Committee of Statistics reported.

By region, the permanent population is as follows:

  •  Samarkand region – 4,360,070
  •  Fergana region – 4,204,284
  •  Kashkadarya region – 3,697,658
  •  Andijan region – 3,507,220
  •  Tashkent city – 3,164,030
  •  Namangan region – 3,177,070
  •  Tashkent region – 3,148,569
  •  Surkhandarya region – 2,994,070
  •  Bukhara region – 2,099,069
  •  Khorezm region – 2,059,078
  •  Republic of Karakalpakstan – 2,046,890
  •  Jizzakh region – 1,559,883
  •  Navoi region – 1,108,595
  •  Syrdarya region – 942,630

It is worth noting that earlier this year, reports indicated that more boys than girls were born in Uzbekistan during the first nine months of 2025.
