After Poland imposed a ban on the movement of motor vehicles across the Belarusian-Polish border, the Uzbek government is negotiating to ensure the transit of its trucks through the territory of Lithuania. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan today, February 27.
"Currently, negotiations are underway to ensure the unimpeded movement of trucks of national carriers of Uzbekistan through Lithuanian border points," the report says.
For reference, since February 21 of the current year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland has banned the movement of trucks through the "Kukuriki - Kozlovichi" crossing point on the Belarus-Poland border. The ban does not apply to trucks registered in Poland and other EU countries.
