A video circulating on social media shows a Gentra driver in Tashkent dragging a traffic police officer on the hood of his car. The Prosecutor General’s Office commented on the incident through its press secretary, Hayot Shamsutdinov.
According to the statement, on November 2, on Fergana Yoli Street in Yashnobod District, a criminal case has been opened against the driver under Article 219 of the Criminal Code (resisting a government official or a person performing a civic duty).
The suspect has been detained following legal procedures, and investigative actions are ongoing.
Earlier, in Surkhandarya Region, a criminal case was opened against a citizen who insulted traffic officers while they were performing their duties and recorded the incident on camera.
